Race-Based Competition Rules

1. Entry Limit & Locking

  • Maximum Entries::
    • - At initial launch you may enter up to five race-based competitions.
  • Late Registration:
    • - If you register after the first race of Competition 1 has started (i.e. within 2 hours of that race’s start), Competition 1 is locked for you and you cannot enter it
    • - You may still enter the remaining competitions—Competitions 2–5—up to your five-competition limit..
  • Locking Mechanism:
    • - For any competition you have entered, once its first race begins (2 hours before the scheduled start), that competition is locked and no further entries or prediction changes are permitted.

2. Driver Predictions and Modifications

  • Entry Submission:
    • - You may set driver predictions on a per‑race basis or for the entire competition.
    • - Our application facilitates entering your predictions across all competitions.
  • Modification Deadline:
    • - You may modify your driver predictions up to 2 hours before the start of each race.
    • - Reminders will be sent via SMS and email when pole positions are determined and again at 12, 6, and 3 hours before the race if you have not updated your predictions following qualification.
  • Finality of Predictions:
    • - Once the 2‑hour cutoff is reached, your predictions become final and will be used in the points calculation.
  • Substitute Driver Clause:
    • - If a driver you have selected is disqualified or is unable to participate in a race and is replaced by a substitute, your entry will be automatically updated to include the substitute driver. You will be awarded the points earned by the substitute driver based on their performance, with no further action required on your part.

3. Tie-Break Rules – Race-Based Competitions

If two or more members finish with the same total score in a race-based competition, the following tie-break procedures will apply in the order listed:

  • Matched Predictions Tie-Break:
    • - The member who has predicted the greatest number of correct rankings will be declared the winner.
    • - Example: If Member 1 and Member 2 both score 91 points, but Member 2 has a higher number of correct rankings, then Member 2 wins.
  • Fastest Lap Time Tie-Break:
    • - If a tie persists after comparing correct rankings, the member whose prediction for the fastest lap time is closest to the actual fastest lap time will be declared the winner.
  • Ultimate Tie-Break:
    • - If a tie remains, an online multiple-choice quiz will be scheduled. The member with the highest score in this tie-break quiz will be declared the winner.

Quiz-Based Competition Rules

1. Online Participation and Question Format

  • Participation:
    • - All quiz-based competitions must be completed online within the specified time limits.
    • - A stable internet connection is required; any disconnection will result in immediate termination of the quiz, and unanswered questions will score zero.
  • Question Presentation:
    • - Each quiz consists of 10 questions presented in random order, with the point value for each question displayed.
    • - There will be a short delay between questions.
  • Answer Submission:
    • - You must submit your answer within 15 seconds of the question being presented.
    • - Failure to answer within the allotted time will result in zero points for that question.
  • Scoreboard Display:
    • - The live scoreboard does not display individual questions or responses. A complete copy of your quiz may be provided upon written request.

2. Tie-Break Rules – Quiz-Based Competitions

In the event of a tie in a quiz-based competition, the following procedures will be used to determine the winner:

  • Correct Answers:
    • - The member who answers the most questions correctly will be declared the winner.
  • Cumulative Response Time:
    • - If a tie remains, the member with the shortest total response time across all questions will be declared the winner.
  • Fastest Individual Response:
    • - If the tie persists, the member with the fastest individual response time on any question will prevail.
  • Ultimate Tie-Break:
    • - If a tie still exists, an additional online multiple-choice quiz will be conducted. The member with the highest score in this tie-break quiz will be declared the winner.
